1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using TrueDNS services ("Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our Services.

2. Description of Services

TrueDNS provides managed DNS hosting services including:

• Authoritative DNS hosting for your domains
• DNS record management via web interface
• DNSSEC signing and key management
• DNS query logging for internal performance monitoring and debugging

3. Account Registration

• You must provide accurate and complete registration information
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
• One person or entity may not maintain multiple free accounts

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use our Services to:

• Host DNS for domains involved in illegal activities
• Distribute malware, phishing, or spam infrastructure
• Conduct DNS amplification attacks or abuse DNS protocols
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

5. Service Plans and Billing

5.1 Subscriptions

• Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance
• Plan limits (zones, records) are enforced automatically
• Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated charges
• Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle

5.2 Payment

• We accept payment via Stripe (credit/debit cards)
• All prices are in USD unless otherwise stated
• You are responsible for applicable taxes

5.3 Refunds

• 30-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans
• Refund requests must be submitted to support within 30 days of initial purchase
• Refunds are not available for plan renewals

6. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Please refer to our Service Level Agreement for uptime commitments and remedies.

7. Data Ownership

• You retain ownership of all DNS data and configurations you create
• You grant us a license to host and serve your DNS data as required to provide the Services
• We do not claim ownership of your domain names or DNS records

8. Intellectual Property

The TrueDNS name, logo, website, and software are our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute our software or branding without permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• TrueDNS shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim
• We are not liable for damages resulting from DNS propagation delays, third-party registrar issues, or factors outside our control

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TrueDNS from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the Services
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights

11. Account Termination

11.1 By You

You may cancel your account at any time through the dashboard. Upon cancellation:

• Access continues until the end of the billing period
• DNS service stops at period end
• Data is deleted within 90 days

11.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account for:

• Violation of these Terms
• Non-payment of fees
• Extended inactivity (1+ year with no zones)

12. Modifications to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 30 days in advance. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
